Administered local network for R&D and office use (Linux and Windows 2000 servers, Active Directory, SUS, integration with the John Deere WAN) and development and hosting platforms (Tomcat, MySQL and OpenLDAP servers)
Developed tools for system administration (Perl, Ruby, web interfaces) and as technical assistance to the R&D team (prototypes, build-chain framework, eclipse plugin)

System Administrator -- IWI (Rennes, France)
April 2001-November 2002

IWI was a company doing R&D work on the industrial generation of large-size 3D worlds and the integration of those worlds in specific appliances (web sites, real-time navigation workstations, video animations...) and its subsidiaries worked on weather reports, web development and hosting, and computer integration.

Maintained and supported workstations (approximately 100 users, MS Windows, MS-Office, Visual Studio, MIPSpro, 3D modeling tools, Irix, Linux), and demonstration workstations for applications using SGI OpenGL Performer (including troubleshooting of video drivers and kernel configuration using software RAID and journaling filesystems).
Administered network (switches, firewalls and leased lines) and servers (Windows NT, Irix, HP-UX and Linux, RAID arrays, Exchange 5.5, Samba, NFS, NIS, Apache, Sendmail, FlexLM) used for internal use and web/mail hosting.
Developed web applications in PHP or Perl-ASP for the management of assets, of projects and for use as a showcase of internal realizations with personalized views.
Integrated a platform for the hosting of multiple email domains with optional anti-virus protection, using Postfix, Courier-IMAP, MySQL and specific Perl scripts for the administration.

Integrated the online platform for Médiamobile, with SMTP, DNS services and Checkpoint FW-1 Firewall.
Developed client software in C++ and Perl for the Système d'Échange de Données de Trafic (SEDT) of Ville de Paris, including specifications, documentation, test and integration to the production platform.
Maintained and wrote internal Perl scripts used for monitoring and data exchanges (SMTP, FTP, XML, generation of HTML and WML pages from a SQL database, Win32 API).
